After a successful run with Kill It Kid, Chris Turpin and Stephanie Jean wanted a fresh start. Hard to blow up a hit-making outfit and start all over. Ida Mae started as a very simple, acoustic guitar-based, two voices, Americana and British blues songwriting outfit. This “No More Compromises” outfit brings to the stage sincere and honest music. Their sound is an adventure that blends British Blues, Americana with a slash of Frank Zappa rock & roll. When Ida Mae plugs in you can't turn away.
